Song of Sparrow - by Majid Majidi (The Color of Paradise, Children of Heaven)
The Embarcadero Cinema is hosting a free sneak preview screening on Monday, June 8th at 7pm of a brand new Iranian film, “The Song of Sparrows.” The new film by Majid Majidi (The Color of Paradise, Children of Heaven) tells the gently humorous story of ordinary guy Karim (Reza Naji, winner Best Actor at the Berlin Film Festival) as he struggles to support his family in Tehran. Majidi’s lyrical storytelling shines in this simple but affecting tale. Like all advanced screenings, you’ll need a ticket, and you’ll need to show up early as admission is not guaranteed. But other than that, you can’t beat a free movie!
