This Thursday, March 5, and every first Thursday, San Francisco’s art galleries around Union Square stay open late. This art community open house, a tradition for over 15 years, is a great way to enjoy all types of art, as well as free booze.
We recommend starting at 49 or 77 Geary St., two buildings that house a number of the city’s best galleries. Be sure not to miss the Fraenkel Gallery, on the fourth floor at 49 Geary, Catharine Clark Gallery and Baer Ridgeway Exhibitions on Minna between Third St. and New Montgomery.
Also, get there early; the drinks don’t stick around, but now that your unemployed that shouldn’t be a problem.
More information on participating galleries and map.
